Deadwood

I have belatedly discovered Deadwood. Wu is awesome, and my husband's (he's Chinese) interpretation is spot on and therefore hysterical. I also caught a Mad TV spoof of Deadwood on YouTube that was so funny. We are almost halfway through season two.

Dog vs. Corn

My stupid dog, so pleased to have been able to get up on the dining table yesterday, decided to eat an entire corn cob. I knew it wouldn't be pretty when it came out but I truly underestimated the power of a dog stomach. I had to throw out the carpet in my hallway and later discovered more "joy" in my den- which has actually stained the floor. Stupid dog.

Earl

I strongly feel that anyone who doesn't educate themselves about their own finances shares at least 50% of the blame for losing all of their money. Earl is a bad man for sure but people, especially women, need to be aware of finance and not just be happy to receive a cheque from a nice man. Too many women are happy to let their parents, partner or some nicely dressed gentleman "take care of things" without asking any questions. They deserve what they get. Ignorance isn't attractive.

It's spring but it feels like winter. My dogs are messy, my house is messy and I want to go to bed.
